URGENT APPEAL!

DONATE TO SAVE OUR ANIMAL SHELTER

At Sava's Safe Haven, we find ourselves in urgent need your assistance as we strive to construct a new safe haven more than 250 animals currently under our care. The situation with our existing shelter has become critical, as it is in desperate need of repairs. With the weather conditions growing increasingly severe each year, it's clear that our current facility will not be able to withstand the elements for much longer. Your generous donations are absolutely essential in enabling us to create a secure and environment for these animals, ensuring they receive the care they so deserve. Together, we can work towards a brighter and more hopeful future for all the animals in our sanctuary.

URGENT APPEAL!

DONATIONS NEEDED

Unfortunately, the need to move the shelter is driven by urgent challenges that make this project crucial; without it, we be unable to rescue animals in future.

Hard Winters

The shelter has often been buried in snow during winters, making the road impassable and trapping dogs in their kennels due to heavy snowfall and blizzards. Each year, harsh weather conditions wreak havoc on our shelter, with winter snow and strong winds by severe floods in spring.

Lack of energy

In winter, we experience power outages due to overcast weather, as our shelter relies solely on photovoltaic panels for electricity. Additionally, the lacks running water and sewage facilities. We source water from a drilled, and the absence of a sewage system is of our biggest challenges.

Poor kennels

The living conditions for animals at the shelter have grown more uncomfortable, even with our yearly maintenance efforts. We lack adequate space to create new indoor accommodations for older dogs to stay warm when temperatures drop below 0 degrees Celsius.

The shelter is situated on a 2500 square meter plot of land, which unfortunately has an elongated and narrow shape, resembling a long corridor. It consists of three distinct sections: one for puppies, another for adults, and a third for seniors As a result, we take a senior animal to the play area, they must pass through other two sections, which can cause stress to the animals.

Step by Step

Purchase a farm or a land close to our shelter.

After purchase the land, we can start buidling fence, kennels and get authorisations

Moving all the units from the old shelter to the new one.

Finally, its time to move all dogs from old shelter to their new rescue center!

Make our dream come true

Help us raise funds to purchase the dream land where we can begin building the shelter!

We have an ambitious goal, but with your support, we achieve it!

Our initial step is to secure funding for the purchase of land that meets our criteria:

- The location should be as close to the village as possible, while maintaining a significant distance to avoid disturbing the local population. Legally, it must be at least 1 km away from the nearest home.
- The land must have access to electricity and running water.
- The road should be easily accessible, even during winter.
- The land should not be prone to flooding.
- The size and shape of the land should be suitable to issues similar to those faced with the current shelter's location.
